Manville - Lorraine A. (Smith) Lataille, 92, of Central Street, died Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the beloved wife of the late Roland E. Lataille.
Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Moison) Smith, she had resided in Manville since 1967.
Mrs. Lataille worked as a nurse's aide at the Holiday Retirement Home, Manville for twenty years, retiring in 1993. She had also worked in private duty for ten years, as well as working at the former Najarian's Studios, Woonsocket, and the former Jacob Finkelstein's & Sons, Woonsocket.
She was a communicant of St. James Church, Manville.
She is survived by one daughter, Diane Gladu and her husband Dennis, of Pawtucket; one son, Brian Lataille of Lincoln; two sisters, Cecile Belleville of Lincoln and Elaine Demarse of Winter Garden, FL; and two grandchildren, Brandon Beauchamp and Chelsea Collins, and her husband Jesse Collins. She was the sister of the late Robert G. Smith and Dolores Blais.
Her funeral will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 at 9:00 AM from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will follow in Saint James Cemetery, Manville. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Thursday from 4:00 -7:00 PM.
