Fay Russell “Russ” Walker
Fay Russell “Russ” Walker, age 79, of Bay St. Louis, formerly of Mount Hermon Louisiana, passed away on August 13, 2025, at Memorial Hospital of Gulfport.
Russ was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and graduated from Robbinsdale High School in Robbinsdale, MN. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy before beginning a long and dedicated career as a tug boat captain, working offshore for 50 years. He later spent more than five years as a tour boat captain at Lake Powell in Arizona, where he shared his love of the water with countless visitors.
A man who enjoyed the outdoors and simple pleasures, Russ loved hunting, fishing, and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angie Walker; his brother, Steven Leach; his sister, Judith Arnold; his parents, Kenneth Russell Walker and Margaret Isabel Brown.
He will be remembered by his daughters, Jennifer Marie Myers of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Ronda Faye Walker of Metairie, LA; his sister, Kate Walker Scholz; his grandchildren, Alexandra Walker of Richmond, VA, Elizabeth Weems, Madison Weems, and Frederick Weems, all of Bay St. Louis, MS; along with many extended relatives and friends.
He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
