Mr. Larry and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I will always carry a piece of Mrs. Faye with me. Natalie and I always laugh at memories we have. I know she is watching over us all.

I remember going to church with her and mowing the lawn and cleaning the church. Back in the 1970s

I´m Darlene Crater. It´s funny, I was thinking about her just the other day.
I was in third grade with Miss Green as my teacher. I remembered the excitement when she was getting married. That her last name would now be Batten. I think she even brought him in to introduce him to us.
That must have been the 1967-1968 school year, at Dinsmore Elementary School #45. I don´t remember if Mrs Parsons or Mr Robert E Straus was the principal, then.
She always treated me like a person, not some "little kid." She cared, was kind, and respected us.
I remember one day, our assignment was to paint our favorite fish. I drew a Sea Horse. All the kids said that wasn´t a fish. They asked her. She said she would go to the library, and check. When she came back, she confirmed that it is a fish.
We learned that she wouldn´t be Miss Green, but Mrs.Batten, now.
Mr Larry must have been a very special person too. He won her over, for all these years. Sir, I am so sorry for your tremendous loss.
I am 65, now. I do look forward to seeing her again, in Heaven, one day. She has very good to me.
In Sympathy,
Darlene CRAter

To Larry and family, We cannot express with words the mixed emotions we felt upon hearing that our sister in Christ has taken the next step in life. Our hearts are heavy knowing the hole that is opened up by Faye's departure is looming supreme at this moment. I pray that the Holy Spirit fills this void. We're here along with of those who love you all in order to love on you as well as mourn with you. May the peace that passes all understanding keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. With love, Charles and Cathy Mullis
