Faye Athena Spring Green, 81, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord on November 7, 2025.

She is survived by her soulmate and husband of 56 years, Shelby Green; her daughter, Laura Thompson of Soddy-Daisy; son-in-law, Jody Thompson; daughter-in-law, Rachel Green of Hixson; nine grandchildren including Gabby Combs, Abby Combs, Cooper Green, Peyton Combs, Quinton Combs, Carter Green, Annie Grace Combs, Baleigh Green and Zachary Green; and three great-grandchildren including Aubrey, Maverick, and Huxley O'dell; and three sisters.

Faye is preceded in death by her son, Bill Green, her parents, and several siblings.

A beautiful lady who radiated joy, Faye loved to laugh and lit up every room she entered with her infectious smile. She loved people, had many dear friends, and for over eight decades, her warmth and kindness blessed everyone she met.

Faye accepted Christ as her savior as a young child and continued leaning on her faith in God every day of her life. Her family was her pride and joy and her most-cherished roles were that of a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a beloved Nana to her grandchildren.

Though heart-broken from her passing, her family cherishes the many beautiful memories they have of her and finds comfort in knowing she is at rest with her Savior and reunited with her son.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Vincent Estill officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
