Faye Durham Meadows

Faye Durham Meadows, 76, of Maysville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2024.
Faye was born on September 18, 1947, to James and Dorothy Durham. Faye was very close to her family and to her friends. Growing up she was one of many children and often found herself making fond memories and learning some of life's greatest lessons: love the Lord with all your heart, appreciate what you have been given and never forget to take time for your family.
She enjoyed many things in life, going to "town" with friends, solving crossword puzzles and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Nobody was more into fashion than Faye. A style maven through and through, she never looked bad and was always able to make everyone else feel good. Her beauty however was more than skin deep.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Bobby Meadows, Jr (Angie); daughter, Beth M. Scott; brothers, Jimmy (Pinky) of Ft. Barnwell, Ronald (Barbara) of Greenville, Donald of Ayden, Bruce of New Bern; sisters, Audrey Davis (Curtis) of Perfection, NC, and Lois Ormond (Ervin) of Ft. Barnwell; grandchildren, Jenna (Kenzie) Shuler, Andrew Rowe (Racheal), Trey Meadows, (Taylor) and Shelbi Meadows; great-grandson, Zayne Rowe.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Meadows, Sr., father and mother, James and Dorothy Durham and grandson, Charlie Rowe.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Kahlert Funerals Chapel with Rev. Greg Meadows officiating. The family will receive friends half an hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Meadows Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Faye's memory to the SECU Cancer Center at CarolinaEast Medical Center, 2000 Neuse Boulevard, New Bern, NC or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
