Faye Weise Obituary

83 of Rockdale, Texas, passed away peacefully with family by her side in
Temple, Texas on January 29th, 2025. She was born July 14th, 1941, in
Jarrell, Texas to Elvera & Walter Scheer.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband Garry (Popsie) Weise; son Aron Gerlock; mother
Elvera Scheer; Father Walter Scheer; siblings Larry "Bo" Scheer, Harold Scheer and Karen
Scheer, and grandson Garrett Gerlock.
She is survived by her brother Alan (Pam) Scheer and children Karen (David) Loeve, Larry
(Lynn) Gerlock, Janet (Clarence) Purkey, Sherri (Robert) Minor, Eric (Dana) Gerlock, and Don
Gerlock. As well as 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm on Monday February 3rd, 2025, at Phillips and Luckey
Funeral Home in Rockdale, Texas.
Funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, Febuary 4th, 2025 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral
Home in Rockdale, Texas followed by a graveside service at OakLawn Cemetary in Rockdale,
Texas with Pastor Mark Nygard.
Pallbearers; James Behrends, Thomas Newton, Bonner Callaway, Timothy Teasdale, Christopher Vrana and Patrick Hawkins.
Honorary Pallbearers: Alan Scheer.

A good memory
We were driving through Kit Carson National Forest in NM. Heading to Colorado and I made a comment about it being perfect weather for seeing bears. As usual she said " your crazy , There ain't no bears". We went around a couple sharp mountain road curves and started climbing a nice grade and Sure enough a nice size black bear was crossing right in front of us. I stopped an we watched it cross the road and run as it was climbing the mountain. She said don't ever say anything to Gary because he has always wanted to see one So of course as soon as we got back to their house We barely got the car unpacked and she said "Gary ,Guess what we saw going to Colorado". Gary says Don't Tell me y'all seen a bear"! I said okay we won't. So she started telling him the story. It all evened out. The next trip as we were returning back to Texas same highway but at the bottom of Kit Carson Gary was driving and as soon as we came around a sharp 35mph curve a pair of Wolves ran across the road. One Black the other Grey. They were both happy and in good spirits for quite a while.
