Felicia "Mary" Viscosi

Mary Felicia Viscosi, age 92, of Gloversville, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY. She was born on July 29, 1931, in Herkimer, NY, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Ortello) Bonvino. Felicia received her education at Herkimer Schools. Felicia is predeceased by her husband, John V. Viscosi, Jr., who she married on June 24, 1950. They were married for an admirable 67 years until his passing on July 12, 2017.
Felicia was a homemaker and helped her husband, John, with their business Cherry Valley Memorials Inc. in Cherry Valley, NY and Gloversville, NY. Felicia and John enjoyed their summer home in Caroga Lake, NY, and their winter home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She loved to host parties and to attend parties! She loved cooking, dancing, being out in the sun and having a glass of wine or two while being surrounded by her family and friends.
Felicia is survived by her sons, Rick Viscosi (Gina) of Gloversville and their children Georgina and Richelle; Daniel Viscosi (Sue) of Cherry Valley and their children Danielle, Victoria, Cynthia, step-grandchildren James and Lisa Carr, and step-great grandchild Stephen Gordon. Felicia loved her family, and each of her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Theresa "Nita" Bonvino, and brother-in-law, Pasquale "PR" Viscosi (Flossie), several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Felicia was predeceased by her brother Anthony "Tony" Bonvino; and sisters-in-law, Mary Faliveno, Agnes Macrina, and Josephine Serfis.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Pineview Commons where Felicia has resided for the past six years. We are so thankful for their help, support, and guidance and for making Pineview Commons feel like home to her. She also made many close friends during her stay at Pineview Commons.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Church of the Holy Spirit, 153 S Main St, Gloversville, NY 12078, with Father Matthew Wetsel officiating.
Entombment will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown, NY.
