Felipe Rodriguez Obituary
He was born December 26, 1937, in Waukegan and was a lifetime area resident.
Felipe was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Waukegan also his children attended until they were young adults.
He worked at Dextor Midland in Waukegan in maintenance then moved to a supervisor; also, maintenance at a law office in Waukegan, maintenance at the Navel Base Bowling Alley in North Chicago and retired October 31, 2013 after 25 years of service.
Felipe was very artistic and creative, made wall hangings, garden props from wood, drew cartoon characters on walls for his children and made toy boxes for his grandchildren. He also helped build a garage from the ground up with his father and brothers.
He was in a band with his brothers and friends in the late 50's to the 60's and played at home with family.
Felipe is survived by his children, Connie (Rick) Dannible, Theresa Marie (James) West, Patricia Ann Sanford, Donna (Joaquin) Bueno, Angela (Kevin) Brambach, Anita F. Rodriguez, Michael Philip (Renee) Rodriguez, Sr; 21 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Marie Rodriguez; brother, Manuel Rodriguez and many loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his son, Felipe Diego Rodriguez, Jr.; son-in-law, Nicholas Sanford; former wife, Linda Rodriguez; 3 brothers; sister; parents, Father Diego and Marry Rodriguez.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Monday, December 29, 2025, at Peterson & Patch Funeral Home, Waukegan. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to time of service at the funeral home.
