Felix Omekenyi Opene, 85, of Hamilton, NJ, entered into his eternal rest with the Lord on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Capital Health Hopewell surrounded by his loving family. Felix was born and raised in Ase-Azaga, in Rivers State,Nigeria where he was a self-employed Accountant.

Felix loved to read, watch television, listen to music, and cook. One of his favorite things to do was to frequently check in on friends and family by stopping by to visit in person or calling on phone when he could not visit in person.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend to many. He was a great mentor to so many.

Felix is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Ugboma and Beatrice Ojiuzo Opene.

Felix is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Bibiana Chinyere (Ekeozor) Opene; his seven children, Sunny Ekeozor, Adaku Opene, Ifeoma Okeke, Ngozi Okoli, Nkechi Opene, Amaechi Ikeoha, and Ugochukwu Opene; fourteen cherished grandchildren; siblings, Vincent Opene, Gabriel Opene, Ego Nwachukwu, Nneka Emezina, Nonye Opene, and Uche Opene; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends both in the US and Nigeria.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Catholic prayer services will begin at 11:00 AM.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Felix's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html
