Felix Rice Obituary
Pete was born on July 5, 1936, in Marshall, NC, to the late Felix O Rice Sr and the late Neta Rice (nee Norton). He was a loving husband to Addie Rice. A devoted father to Cheryl Gilbert (John) and a proud grandfather to Samantha Newell (Jerry) and John Gilbert, Jr. (Jolene). Pete was also a loving great grandfather to Brianna, Carson, Braydon, Shane, and Ethan. Pete is predeceased by his wife Elaine L Rice (Royds), and his wife Joan V Rice, his son Edward J Rice (Kathe), his sister Robena Adams (Wayne). He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Pete graduated from Frankford High School and went on to serve in the Air Force from 1958 to 1962. After his military service, Pete dedicated his career as a machinist at the Naval Yard from 1962 to 1988. He was highly skilled and took great pride in his work.
Pete enjoyed spending time with his family and had a passion for tinkering with anything mechanical, watching game shows, and machinist videos on YouTube. His dedication to his loved ones and his interests will always be remembered.
A memorial service to celebrate Pete's life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church in
Pete's memory.

You have made your final flight into the wild blue yonder´s. You are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final bugle has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender.
