Fern Cates Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Fern Neal Cates, age 70, will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 12 p.m. in the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Gargus officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Cates, a retired tool and die worker, was born in Greenfield, TN, on July 20, 1952, to the late Daymon Hollis and Christine Powell Cates. He passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Cates of Bradford, TN; one daughter, Jennifer Cates (David Paschall) of Bradford, TN; one son, Justin (Kristin) Cates of Bradford, TN; a sister, Zane (Charles) Manns of Bradford, TN; one brother, Waymon (Kay) Cates of Bradford, TN; and three grandchildren, Cameron Cantrell, Hayden Tatum, and Emma Tatum.
