Fern Mae (Conrad) Flicker, 87, of Pottstown, wife of Gerald L. Flicker, passed away Friday June 16, 2023 at the Lutheran Home in Topton.
Born in Barto, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Louise (Weller) Conrad.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a store clerk for Berkeys and was a seamstress for many years at Erntex, Lincoln Underwear and Spring City Knitting. Fern enjoyed reading, cooking, baking and watching Phillies baseball games. Spending time with family was very important to her. She loved to attend her children and grandchildren's sporting events and dance recitals.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church Niantic and previously a long-time member of Falkner Swamp UCC.
Surviving along with her husband are her children Gerald R. Flicker husband of Theresa, Nadine S. Hoffman wife of Timothy, Denise K. Hoffman wife of Philip, and Mark L. Flicker husband of Christine; grandchildren Rachel M. Lapinski, Drew S. Hoffman, Dana M. Van Nostrand, Kristy N. Ruyak, Shelley K. Smith, Aaron K. Hoffman, Shannon K. Sminkey, Luke P. Hoffman, and Jackson P. Flicker; as well as 15 great grandchildren; twin sister Fay Slonaker; and brothers Paul Conrad, Kenneth Conrad, Ronald Conrad and Dennis Conrad.
Along with her parents, Fern was predeceased by her daughter Diane L. Flicker Morbauch; brother Russell Conrad; and sisters Ethel Suloman and Darlene Conrad.
A memorial service will be held Friday June 30, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Rd., Barto, PA 19504. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Friday from 11:00-11:45 AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fern's memory to Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Rd., Barto, PA 19504 or Lutheran Home at Topton, Attn: Advancement, 1 S. Home Avenue, Topton 19562.
