Ferris C. Roberts Jr, 88, of Watsontown, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at his home.

Born May 5, 1937 in Sweet Valley, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Ferris and Geneva (Sherman) Roberts. On December 17, 1966 he married the former Janet M. Kessler and together they celebrated 59 years of marriage.

Ferris was a graduate of Lake Lehman High School, and worked at HRI in State College for over 45 years until retirement. He was a former member of the NRA, was an avid bowler, and bowled a 300 game.

He loved being outdoors whether it was going hunting, fishing, or riding his four-wheeler. Ferris was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.

In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by daughter: Brenda Boone and her children; four step-daughters: Hope Brush and her husband Richard, Connie Ulrich and her husband Keith, Julie Metzger and her husband Rick, and Theresa Hixson and her husband Monte; step-grandchildren: Marissa (Brad), Matt, Seth (Alicia Pucci), and Hannah; step-great-grandchildren: Connor, Cayden, Connor and Lillian; and nephew: Duane Roberts.

Besides his parents, Ferris was preceded in death by his grandson: Josh Metzger; brother: Thomas Roberts; and nephew: David Roberts.

Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
