Steven G. Wieand, 76 of Milon, passed on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at his home from natural causes.

Born December 14, 1948, in Danville, he was the oldest child of the late Glenn E. and Regina T. (Krakowski) Wieand of Milton.

Steve was a 1966 graduate of Milton Area High School and with an associate degree from Paul Smith's College in New York and bachelor's in Forestry from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas . He worked at ACF in Milton as a millwright.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and getting together with family. As a young man Steve traveled across the country and Canada by motorcycle and made multiple trips to Europe and S. America.

Steve is survived by his brother: Barry Wieand and wife Jane; four sisters: Patricia Mathias and husband Richard, Sharon McChesney and husband Dwain, Karen Metzger and husband Jeff, and Lisa Marflak and husband Ed; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to your local food bank
