Richard G. Aunkst, 85 of Delaware Twp, Watsontown, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 27, 2025.
Born January 23, 1940 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Wallace G. and Catherine F. (Williams) Aunkst. In 1957 he married the former Nancy J. Smith and together they celebrated 68 years of marriage.
He worked at various places including Warsaws, International Paper Company and most recently Allen's in South Williamsport. Richard loved gardening and being outdoors with his flowers, earlier in life he also enjoyed fishing. Most of all he loved spending time with his entire family.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, he is survived by his two daughters: Polly Bogert, and Jackie Noll and her husband Larry; two grandchildren: Colton Bogert and Ashley Noll; one brother: John Noble; and two sisters: Joan Wolfe and Katie Lee.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his son: Richard L. Aunkst; granddaughter: Melissa Beck; and two brothers: Wallace and Marvin.
Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
