Flora Mae Faust

Flora Mae Faust, 82, passed away Friday July 25, 2025. She was born June 17, 1943, in Zanesville.

Our mother was a free spirit. She loved to tell stories, laugh deeply, and make every moment special for those around her. She had a gift for art – able to draw almost anything – and her sense of decoration was remarkable. Music was a constant in her life; it wasn't uncommon to visit and find her dancing with joy or humming along to a favorite tune. She also had a playful heart, always ready for a game – often creating her own – and she never passed up a ride through the countryside.

An extraordinary cook and a meticulous homemaker, she ran her household with care and pride. The phrase, "so clean you could eat off the floor," could have been written for her.

She was the proud mother of three children: Christina, Janet and Scott. She leaves behind four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Bertha, Jack and Kay.

Flora was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rosemary Faust; her sister Elizabeth; and her brothers: Sonny, John and Jerry.

Mom cherished her siblings, children and extended family deeply, and we loved her just as much.

Her passing leaves an ache in our hearts, but her memory brings beauty and comfort. Each of us holds a personal connection with her – one that will stay with us for a lifetime.

We extend our gratitude to the nursing facility staff, hospice caregivers, friends, and family for their support and love. A special thanks goes to Aunt Janet, who watched over our mother so faithfully. We are also grateful to our pastor and all those who prayed with us and asked God to prepare a place for her.

She will forever be in our hearts, and no matter where we are, we know she will be near. We love you Mother.

In honoring her wishes, there will be no formal services. She asked us to remember her as she was - full of life, love and laughter.
