Florence Dickson

Florence (nee Guskoski) Dickson, 92, of Seaside Park, died at home on Friday, February 17, 2023. Born and raised in Jersey City, she was a graduate of St. Dominic
Academy. She married her true love, Edward, in 1951 and worked as an executive secretary in New York City until the birth of her first child. Florence was a devoted mother who volunteered at St. Aloysius School in Jersey City for many activities but her favorite was working in the cafeteria. After years of vacationing in Seaside Park, Florence became a permanent resident in 1987. Trips to Atlantic City, playing cards or Scrabble and family gatherings were favorite pastimes. She was a parishioner of St. Catharine
of Siena R.C. Church (now St. Junipero Serra Parish) in Seaside Park. Florence was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward in 2010 and her brother Edward Guszkowski. She is survived by her daughter Elaine Dickson of Seaside Park; son Edward and daughter-in-law Lisa of Seaside Park; son Joseph and daughter-in-law Christine of Mt. Laurel; and her cherished grandsons Ryan and Edward. Also surviving are several cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-8pm on Thursday, February 23
at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 809 Central Avenue, Seaside Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10am on Friday, February 24 at St. Catharine of Siena R.C. Church, Seaside Park. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.ryanfuneral home.com.
