Florence Ann Eoff Felton, born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Feb 4, 1930, and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on February 9, 2025, she was 95. She and her husband George were responsible for helping to plan and develop BREC's Greater Baton Rouge Zoo where they worked alongside one another for over 30 years. She is remembered fondly for her role as an animal dietitian and animal nursery manager. The Baton Rouge community owes Mrs. Florence a debt of gratitude for her dedication. Her kind presence and warm personality will preserve her legacy for years to come.
She loved sports and excelled at them from an early age, she was an All-American basketball player, softball player, and an avid league bowler throughout her life.
She is survived by her children Frank David Felton (Stacey), Gina Ann Felton Dennis (Robert), Kurt Michael Felton (Sammie), Terry Lane Felton (Michelle); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nephews and nieces.
Florence is preceded in death by her husband George Reuben Felton, Jr.; parents Dee R. Eoff and Bernice Isabella Eoff; brother David Eoff; and sister Mary Isabella Dunnington (June).
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM, being officiated by Pastor Kennon Pickett. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
