Florence M. Garner

Florence M. Garner, 95, of Avon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. She was born December 2, 1927 in Elyria, Ohio, the first of five children to parents Edward and Myrtle (nee Monticue) Meredith.
Florence grew up in the Elyria and Lorain area. She worked in manufacturing in a plant that made neon signs and related materials. She also sold Avon products for several years. Florence was a doting aunt to her several nieces and nephews and was affectionately known as Maye-Maye to them and their children. She enjoyed painting ceramics and working cross-stitch needlepoint on plastic canvas.
Florence is survived by her brother Ron Meredith; sister-in-law Linda Meredith; and her beloved nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband Milton Garner; and brothers Maurice "Bud" (Joann) Meredith, Dan Meredith, and David (Anna) Meredith.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 9:30am - 10:30am at Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon Belden Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012. Funeral service will follow at 10:30am at the funeral home.
