George Garner Obituary
He was born on October 17, 1947, in Pittsburg, the son of Richard and Juanita (Willis) Garner. He was a lifelong resident of Pittsburg.
In November 1966, he was united in marriage to Linda Deckard at Girard, Kansas. She preceded him in death in 2003.
George worked as a grounds keeper at Pittsburg State University for 23 years, retiring in 2010.
He is survived by a companion, Cheryl Wallace of Parsons, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 25) at the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Pastor Marvin Boore officiating. Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary.
