Florence E. "Flossie" Heffner, 91, of DuBois, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Nelson's Golden Years.
Born on January 29, 1934, in Elderton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clark A. and Cora May (Peterman) Kough.
On April 7, 1982, she married Raymond "Ray" Heffner, in DuBois, PA. Ray survives.
Flossie graduated from Elderton High School, class of "1952, retired from the Thunderbird Restaurant and the DuBois Country Club. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and was Christen by faith.
Flossie is survived by; her husband, Ray, children; Judy (Ron) Peace of Punxsutawney, Jim (Michele) Hazelett of Dewittville, NY, Tammy Hazelett and her companion Bart Sawyer of Garland, TX, Sue (Mike) Toney of Mahaffey, Crystal Bayer of St. Mary's, Mike (Anita) Heffner of DuBois and Steve (Mary) Heffner of Chuluota, FL; seventeen grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren and a sister Evelyn Elwood of Salina, PA.
She was preceded by her parents; sisters, Margie Anderson, Wilda Morrow, Effie States, Dorothy Cribbs and one brother Wayne Kough.
Friends and family will be received at the Adamson Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 3 – 7 PM followed by a service at 7:00, with Pastor Paul Davis officiating.
Interment will take place in the Luthersburg Union Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the organization of donor's choice.
