Florence J. Lattimore, 96 of Sullivan, MO passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at Victorian Place, Sullivan, MO.
Florence Joy was born on March 26, 1929 in Sullivan, MO, the third of six children born to Meredith Leon and Florence Emily (Isenhower) Bailey. She was a life-long resident of Sullivan and attended and graduated from Sullivan High School class of 1947. She was very active in school activities and a friend to all.
Florence was united in marriage to Jerry D. Lattimore on September 5, 1947 and two sons were born, Jerry Jr. and Bradford. Bradford passed as a young child. Florance was a true homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. She was an excellent cook and along with her husband Jerry, grew a big garden. Florence was the family matriarch and caregiver for many including, her mother, brother Mark whom she loved dearly, Aunt Nell and Aunt Ethel and her in-laws, Tom and Mildred. When Florence became a grandmother, she thrived in that role as well. She and Jerry attended attended all of their grandson, Matthew's basketball and baseball games, always cheering him on. Even though she was advancing in age the great-grandchildren were a blessing to her also. Florence really enjoyed listening to her husband Jerry play music and she also liked to square dance.
Florence was a kind and loving person. She loved to laugh and would spend endless hour talking and laughing with her sister June. She had a special relationship with her son Jerry who cared for her and visited her every day. Florence was a dedicated Christian and member of the Sullivan Christian Church, the Rebekah's and the Daughter's of the American Revolution. Florence made everyone feel special and loved. We will never forget her.
Florence is survived by her son, Jerry Lattimore and wife Nancy of Bourbon, MO; grandchildren, Matt (Susan) Lattimore, Leslie (Chris) Blaylock, J. W. (Alison) Brandt, Joe (Melinda) Brandt, Jacob (Jenny) Brandt; great-grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, Jocelyn, Presley, Malone and Harlow Lattimore, Poppy Blaylock, Beau (Mallory) Brandt, Reagan (Dylan) Johnston, Cason and Cade Carter, Charlie and Tommy Brandt; great-great-grandchildren, Harper, Haley and Hiliary; siblings, Darrell (LaRae) Bailey of Bourbon, MO, George (AnnaBelle) Bailey of Sullivan, MO; nephew, Tom Lattimore of Leon, Iowa; nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lattimore; son Bradford; parents Beck and Florence Bailey; two brothers, Marcus Bailey and Larry (Wanda) Bailey; one sister, June (Bob) Sites; mother and father-in-law, Tom and Mildred Lattimore; brother and sister-in law Tom and Maudie Lattimore.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM, Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO. Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
