EAST LIVERPOOL – Florence A. Myers, longtime East Liverpool resident, passed away Monday evening, August 18, 2025, at the Continuing Healthcare of Lisbon following a long illness. She was 96 years old.
Born in East Liverpool, May 1, 1929, she was a daughter of the late William and Muriel Mader Burgess. She attended Northside Community Church and Avondale Baptist Church and at one time was active at the VFW Post's Women's Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William K. Myers, and a brother, Robert W. Burgess.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel W. Hayes and Ronald Allen Hayes, and a daughter, Lucinda "Cindy" Marshall, along with three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Gloria Jean Watters of Lapeer, Michigan and brother James Burgess of Columbiana.
Friends may visit Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Rev. Brenda Johnson will conduct a funeral service Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
