Frank J. Barborak ObituaryEAST LIVERPOOL – Frank J. Barborak, 91, of East Liverpool, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh with his family by his side.
Frank was born in West Point, Ohio on May 31, 1934, a son of the late Mike and Mary T. (Musiolowski) Barborak. He was a veteran proudly serving in the Army in Germany. Frank worked at the Ice Plant in Glenmoor in his early years. He later retired from J & L Steel where he worked as caster in the blast furnace. Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed rafting down the creek. Frank was an avid gardener and had his own greenhouse which allowed him to supply his family and friends with many vegetables and plants. He had a taxidermy business and mounted his grandson's first deer. Frank loved tinkering with and riding old tractors. In the winter months Frank enjoyed sitting by the wood burner where he would make black powder guns from kits. Most importantly, he was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
Preceding Frank in death were his wife, whom he married December 21, 1957, Mae Barborak; three brothers Eddie Barborak, Andrew Barborak and Leonard A. "Len" Barborak; sister-in-law Doris Barborak Talbert and son-in-law Tom Wolfe.
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters Tammy Wolfe and Faith Barborak; four grandchildren Lacey Belmore, Tom Wolfe and his fiancée Ashley, Kyle Hauck and Dylan Wolfe and his fiancée Kristen; six great grandchildren Melody, Porter, Autumn Rose, Phoenix, Anika and Madison; brother Larry Barborak and his wife Jean; two special nephews Michael Barborak and his wife Terri and Larry Barborak and his wife Sandy and his friendly little dog Bella.
Friends may visit Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fr. Leo Wehrlin will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park where Tri State Veterans Burial Group will conduct military honors.
Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
