Leonard A. "Len" Barborak ObituaryEAST LIVERPOOL – Leonard A. "Len" Barborak, 78, of East Liverpool, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at his home from an accidental fall.
Len was born in East Liverpool on May 31, 1946, a son of the late Mike and Mary T. (Musiolowski) Barborak. He was the valedictorian of East Liverpool High School Class of 1964. Len was an Army veteran proudly serving as an air traffic controller in Germany. He worked as a caster operator at Crucible Steel and retired from J & L Steel at the age of 55. Len enjoyed gardening, fishing, boating and woodworking. He enjoyed hunting with his brothers. He also enjoyed target practice with his family. Len was a generous person and had a giving heart. He enjoyed buying and giving gifts to others. Len enjoyed spending time with his Godson Dylan.
Preceding Len in death were two brothers Eddie Barborak and Andrew Barborak; two sisters-in-law Mae Barborak and Doris Barborak Talbert; nephew-in-law Tom Wolfe and his beloved dog Snoopy.
Left to cherish his memory are his two brothers Frank Barborak and Larry Barborak and his wife Jean; two nephews Michael Barborak and his wife Terri and Larry Barborak and his wife Sandy; two nieces Tammy Wolfe and Faith Barborak; great niece Lacey Belmore and three great nephews Tom Wolfe and his fiancée Ashley, Kyle Hauck and Dylan Wolfe and his fiancée Kristen
Friends may visit Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fr. Leo Wehrlin will conduct a funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park where Tri State Veterans Burial Group will conduct military honors.
Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
