Ronald Kenneth Gacesa ObituaryRonald Kenneth Gacesa, 65
EAST LIVERPOOL – Ronald Kenneth Gacesa, of East Liverpool, affectionately known as Captain Ron to his friends and family, passed away at his home on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the age of 65.
Ron was born on December 13, 1959, in East Liverpool. After graduating from East Liverpool High School, he began a long and dedicated career at Hall China, where he worked for 41 years. For two decades, he served as a skilled mold maker and held various other positions throughout his time there. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in swimming, boating, and spending time at Guilford Lake. He also enjoyed taking long walks and cutting and splitting firewood. He was a devoted member of Hope Christian Fellowship.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Michael Gacesa; sister-in-law, Teresa Sullivan; brother-in-law, Kenny Pridemore; cousin, Keith Broadbent; and his beloved pet dog, Alice.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Dolores Gacesa; his siblings, Marsha Pridemore, Michael "Greg" Gacesa, and Jeff Gacesa; niece, Aimee Pridemore (Jonathan); nephews, Michael Pridemore and Jeffrey Pridemore; cousins Karen, Tawny, and Sean Broadbent (Tricia) and their two sons; and family friend Sierra Zirillo.
Friends may visit Thursday, May 29, at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Norm Eckert will conduct a funeral service on Friday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship
In Captain Ron's memory, the family asks that you show kindness to others, you never know what someone may be going through.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988lifeline.org/donate.
