Florentia Elenis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025 at the age of 95. Born in Corinth, Greece on January 18, 1930, Florentia lived a long and remarkable life filled with love and devotion to her family.

In 1968, Florentia and her husband, Antonios made the courageous decision to leave Greece and immigrate to Detroit, Michigan in search of a better life for their family. Through hard work and perseverance, they built a legacy rooted in family and tradition.

Florentia was the loving wife of 63 years to the late Antonios Elenis. She was a devoted mother to Dimitrios and Tom and a proud grandmother to Anthony (Dayna), Anneta (Jay) and Alexandra (Paola). She was a great grandmother to Mila, Dimitri, Sotiri, Niko, and Natalya.

She was the dear sister of Antigone & the late Maria, Angeliki, and Penelope. Florentia will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and love of life.

A Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 10:30AM at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 760 W. Wattles (E/Crooks). Visitation at church begins at 10:00AM. Interment at White Chapel Cemetery to follow.
