Floyd Brown, age 71, of Clarinda, IA passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the Clarinda Hospital, after a short illness.
He was born in Council Bluffs, IA on May 17, 1953 to the late Claude and Myrtle (Buttz) Brown. Floyd graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. He moved to Omaha, where he spent several years, with his partner until his passing. He worked as a Secretary for a Railroad in Council Bluffs and retired from AT&T in Omaha.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Frankie Brown, and Kenneth Brown; sisters, Luella (Brown) Acosta, Claudette Dye, Julia Frieze, and Wanda (brother-in-law, Joe) Harroun.
Floyed is survived by sisters, Rosetta (brother-in-law, Harry Joel III) Inman; sister-in-law, Rita; brother, Claude "Sonny" Brown (sister-in-law, Ruth) and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM in the Community Room at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
