Floyd Lowe, 94, of Winchester, passed peacefully on October 9, 2024, at the Woodlands Care Center in Muncie, IN. The son of Russell and Erva (Carol) Lowe was born near London, KY on September 9, 1930.
Floyd grew up in Oneida, Tennessee and joined the military at fourteen years old at the end of World War II. During his time in the Army, he was sent to the Philippine's and then to Japan. After completing his time in the military, Floyd returned to Tennessee where he met his long-time pen pal Anne Stewart. Not long after their meeting, they ran off and married.
Floyd moved his family to the Winchester area and lived their lives there. Floyd was religious man and was an active member and Deacon of Chapelwood Baptist Church and an auxiliary police officer. Floyd retired from Anchor-Hocking after forty-four years.
Floyd leaves behind his wife of 76 years Anne (Stewart) Lowe, his only son Eddie D. Lowe, and grandson Michael Lowe. Many special nieces and nephews including Susie Taylor and Joyce, brothers-in-law Odell Thompson and Elbert Stewart, sister-in-law Marie Pheins.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents Russell and Erva (Caroll) Lowe, his brothers Herbert, Rexford, Onva, and Jacob, as well as his sisters Hazel, Mazel and Elsie. The Meeks Mortuary has been entrusted with Mr. Lowe's arrangements.

Papaw it's your granddaughter Renee S. Lowe Moyer. I miss you so much. You are in no more pain and walking them streets of gold. Plz keep an eye on me and my boys. They loved you so very much. Rest easy Papaw I will see you again some day. Love always your granddaughter Renee
