Floyd Ellis "Jake" Peterson III

Floyd "Jake" Ellis Peterson III, age 62, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 13, 2023, surrounded by his family.
He was born on May 8, 1961, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, a son to late Floyd Ellis Peterson II and Joyce (Keaton) Irwin.
Jake attended DuBois High School. He was a kind and generous person that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved working on roofs and tinkering on cars and motorcycles. Jake liked being with friends and enjoying life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley; the man who helped raise him as his own, his father, Charles Irwin and mother, Joyce Irwin; sisters, Tammy Peterson and Pamela Irwin; and a brother, Robert "Bobby" Allen.
He leaves behind to cherish him in memory, his loving wife of 35 years, Cynthia (Stoltz) Peterson; daughters, Jesse (husband Dan) Wingenbach and Cheyenne (husband Joshua Elder) Peterson; sisters, Peggy Snyder (husband Bear), Bridgette Young and Audrey Irwin (husband Junior Nixson); brother, Marshall Peterson; four granddaughters; two grandsons; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Per Jake's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to a 2:00 p.m. graveside service on Friday, July 28, 2023, in Laurel Hill Cemetery, 4523 Love Road. Arrangements are entrusted to the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
