"Dale" was born in Rochester, son of the late Glenn I. Rude and the late Vivian Rush Rude, grandson of the late Mabel E. Rude McGinnis and nephew of the late Jimmy D. Rude and Lavada S. Rude Hayes.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and an employee of TM Morris. His marriage to Penny produced a son, Francis Dale, who survives.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Glenn Rude, and a sister, Laurie Jane Smith. Since 2001 he has been with his partner in life, Genia Abell. His memory will be cherished by all who loved him and his half-sisters, nieces and nephews and his godchildren.
Floyd's hobby was woodworking and he enjoyed the outdoors, campfires and family.
Service will be set for a future date.
