Floyd Bruce Running Hawk, Sr. "Cetan Gleska" was born on October 30, 1939 in Pine Ridge, SD to William Running Hawk and Mae Red Shirt and was raised by Lavina Bissonette-Running Hawk. Floyd made his journey to the Spirit World on April 4, 2023 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Floyd is survived by his spouse, Lorita F. (Black Elk) Running Hawk; daughter, Maxine (Louie) Janis; hunka daughters, Marlene Bear Stops, Raylene Ochoa, Ranae & Marian Bagola, Cynthia Johnson, Shelley Little Crow, and Louella Youngman; sons, Russell Running Hawk and Floyd "Sonny Boy" Running Hawk; hunka sons, JR (Donna) Whalen, Jr. and Dwayne (Rose) Stenstrom; sister, Bernice White Hawk; nephews, Conrad & Donald Running Hawk, Quincy Red Feather, Joe Sierra, Sr., Bruce Black, and Duane "Canupa" Martin; nieces, Wilma Returns From Scout, Veatrice Running Hawk, Kathy Eagle Hawk, Margaret and Marianne Roan Eagle, Iris (Richard) Janis, and Artigne and Vina White Hawk; grandsons, Louis, Jr. & Family, Charles & Family, Raymond & Family, Franklin & Family, THoams & Family, Vern, and Hermis Janis, Ashley Janis, Justin Mousseau & Family, Trevor Enos, Trevin Antonio, Boston Clown, Tavian Antonio, Jaxton Antonio, Joe Sierra, Jr., Ricky Sierra, and Billy Joe Haas; granddaughters, Megan, Alex & Family, Antoinette "Annie", Marguente, & Trinity Janis, Rhea & Kyana Running Hawk, Ryel & Katelin Running Hawk, Rochelle Lovato, Amora Jojola, Angelina Enos, Danielle Antonio, Antoinette Antonio, Brianna Fast Horse, Paulette Means, Tami Thunder Horse, Sarah Nickles & Family, and Joann Spotted Bear; great grandchildren, Johnathan Haas, Nicolas Janis, Justine Janis, Jasmine Comes Killing, Aria Janis, Savannah & Antoine Bissonette, and Zion Running Hawk; pet dogs "sons" Mato Ska and Wanbli Hota; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and relatives.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lavina Running Hawk and Mae Red Shirt; siblings, Dennis Running Hawk, Rebecca Johnson, Rose Stevens, Joyce Garnier, and Clyde Red Shirt; sons, Lloyd Running Hawk, Aaron Running Hawk, Larry Running Hawk, and Alec Running Hawk; hunka daughter, Karen Running Hawk-Walking; grandsons, Nicolas Janis, John Haas, Wilfred Antonio, Jr., and Marcus Antonio; granddaughters, Gilmanita Haas and Mary Dupris; and pet dogs, Bandit and Pudgy Jake.
Pallbearers will be Dontaye Janis, Louis "Trey" Janis III, Shawn Garnier, Raymond Janis, Franklin Janis, Vern Janis, Joe Sierra, Sr., Chris Janis, and Joe Sierra, Jr.

Wake Services: Two night wake service starting at 4:30 PM, Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Pine Ridge Elementary School Gymnasium in Pine Ridge, SD.
Funeral Services: 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Pine Ridge Elementary School Gymnasium in Pine Ridge, SD.
