Floyd Allen Schmidt

Floyd Allen Schmidt, 82, of Perry passed away on Monday, February 24. 2025 at home with his loving wife by his side,
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 21, 2025, 1:00 pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Perry. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Perry Township Hall.
Floyd was born at home in Perry, Michigan on October 23, 1942 to the late Wallace E. And Eleanor Alice (Milbrandt) Schmidt. He graduated from Perry High School in the Class of 1960. He was married to Judie Decator from 1964 to 1995 and raised three children. He then married Betty Morgan on November 15, 1997 until the end.
Floyd was an x-ray technician at Ingham Medical Center, he worked for the Overhead Door Company, the Mobil Gas Station part-time and for General Motors.
He enjoyed working on cars, gardening, hunting, he never missed his children's sporting events and loved his dog, Precious.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Betty of 27 years. His children, Mark (Kelly) Schmidt, Billy (Val) Schmidt, and Kevin (Sandy) Schmidt; step-children, Christina Baker (José) and Dawn (Tim) McCormick; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; his brother, Wallace (Jean) Schmidt and Robin (Jim) Lish.
He was predeceased in death by his parents and sister, Darlene Doucette.
