Flynn Clarence Bell (Baby Brother) was born on January 7, 1945, to Flynn Clarence Sr. and Jimmie Bell in Dallas, Texas. He received his education in Dallas, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School. He committed his life to Christ at a young age and was a member of Munger Avenue Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas.
He met his future wife, Shirley Bell in High School and married Shirley (Stewart) shortly after high school. To this union three children were born, Andrea Lynnette Bell-Thomas (Denton, Texas), Flynn C. Bell III (Valrico, Florida) and Adriane Bell (Mesquite, Texas).
To say that Flynn had a great sense of humor would be an understatement. He was both sarcastic and clever. Flynn had a very dry wit and was the master of the one-liners. He was an avid sports fan with an on-and-off love for the Dallas Cowboys.
After facing some major life challenges, Flynn renewed his relationship with our Lord and Savior. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV.
On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, after a lengthy illness, Flynn transitioned from Earth to his Heavenly home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr. and Jimmie Bell, his oldest sister, Loyce Marie Jackson as well as a younger brother, Calvin Bell.
He is survived by his children Andrea Bell-Thomas, Flynn Clarence Bell, III, Adriane Denise Bell, siblings Edwin Bell, Sr. and Mary Helen Mass, three grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Poem:
His Journey's Just Begun
Don't think of him as gone away
his journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched and loved
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.
