It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of Foon Lui, age 67, of Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on September 18 th, 2025, at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
Foon was born on August 17th, 1958, to Tin Kwan Lui and Kam Woon Lui. He was a loving father and will be remembered for his hard-working nature, generosity, and compassion, often sacrificing his own well-being for the sake of others. He was a lifelong culinary enthusiast and became a successful restaurant owner for over 20 years to provide for his family. He also found happiness traveling to different countries across the world, specifically Hong Kong and Vietnam. Foon's presence will be deeply missed by his closest family and friends.
He is survived by his son (Alex Lui), siblings (Wanda Wong; Chiu Lui, Cheong Lui). He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings (Jim Lui and Cheuk Lui).
