A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Frank A. Reddick of Tampa, Florida who passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 2606 West Grace Street., Rev. William Cade, Pastor, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Frank Anthony Reddick was born on November 5, 1955, in Tampa, Florida, to Rosa Lee Graham. From an early age, Frank embraced his faith and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of First Baptist Church of West Tampa, Rev. M.C. Johnson, Pastor where he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors, member of Pastor Search Committee, and an usher. Later he joined Mt. Tabor Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor T.D. Lennard and presently William Cade, presiding Pastor. At Mt. Tabor, Frank was Chairman of the Bi-laws Committee.
He graduated from King High School and furthered his education at Paine College in Augusta, Georgia where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science and pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
Frank achieved numerous milestones throughout his life, establishing himself as a respected community leader in Tampa. Some of them included:
Member of the Tampa City Council, District 5
President and CEO of the Sickle Cell Association
Member of the Hillsborough County Hospital Authority Board
Member of the Executive Board of East Tampa Partnership
President of the Tampa Coalition for Change, Inc
Frank leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family. He is survived by a loving and devoted sister, Rogina Hannon (Carl); niece, Briana Hannon; nephew, Brian Hannon; cousins, including Nellie Brinson, Betty Farmer (Harold), Lewis Brinson (Beverly), Patricia Means, Maxie Means, Shabrina Grant (Anthony), Bridgette Coonce (Reginald), Deryck Dawson (Janet), Flo Mills, and Curtis Lane (Beverly); and a host of other cousins and relatives.
