Forrest Ray Hazlett Moyock - Forrest Ray Hazlett, 75, passed away on August 23, 2025, in his home.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his daughter, Pamela and husband Timothy; daughter, Kristy and husband Bobby; son, Thomas and wife Deborah; and bonus son and daughter, Dean and Melissa Shiflett. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and his two brothers, Lee and Jimmy Hazlett; and sister, Kay Henderson. He is predeceased by his sister Charlotte.

He was born in Mount Vernon, Indiana, where he had fond memories of his brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Forrest was lover of cars, mountain dew, flashlights and fishing. He enjoyed fixing any and all things that needed repair, from mechanics, paint and body to kitchen cabinets. He was a man of many talents, and he enjoyed playing Guitar and singing.

Forrest retired from the Ford Motor Company in 2007, after 30 years in paint and body. Forrest and Sandra spent 34 years together traveling the country and making wonderful memories on the waters of Tulls Bay.

He was that very rare and fortunate individual who was always eager to help his friends, family and fellow race drivers in need. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him by his Marlboro man persona; rugged independent and strong, and his quick wit.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 31, 2025 at 1733 Indian Creek Road, Chesapeake, VA in parking lots 3 and 4. The family wishes to express their appreciation for care and support given by MSA hospice care. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to American Cancer Society.
