Frances Bernal Obituary
Frances C. Bernal, 74, of George West, Texas passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Christus Spohn Hospital, Beeville.
Frances, a devout Catholic, was born December 20, 1949, in San Diego, Texas to James Rowland and Dora G. Tamez. She was a faithful member of St. George Catholic Church. Cooking, gardening and sewing were some of her favorite hobbies, but spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, brought her much joy and happiness.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Tamez; father, Rosendo Tamez, Sr.; and two brothers, Gabriel Rowland and Abel Tamez.
Survivors include a son, Trey Bernal; three grandchildren, Elijah (Mercedes) Bernal, Marley Bernal and Emma Bernal; seven siblings, Mary Cadena, Sylvia Stewart, Rosendo Tamez, Jr., Sally Hohmann, Eddie Tamez, Arturo Longoria and Angie Longoria; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers followed by the funeral service at 3 o’clock with Pastor Daniel Garza officiating.
Interment of cremains will be held at a later date.
