Frances Kay Woods Bright - age 76 of Greenback, passed away January 29, 2025 at her home. She was a graduate of Greenback High School and Joseph's School of Beauty. Frances was a member of Axley Chapel United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and worked with the youth. She was a former employee of East Tennessee Medical Group. Frances loved to cook, fish, garden, and help her friends and those in need in her community.
Preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Millie Shults Woods; daughter, Heather Bright Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Baxter and Florene Bright.Survived by her husband of 55 years, Lynn Bright; daughter, Kim Ashbrook (Johnny); grandchildren: Jessica McMahan (Tyler), Landon Chambers (Amanda), Austin Chambers (Sabrina), Amber Ashbrook (Phillip), Alexa Phillips, and Madden Phillips; great-granddaughters, Raley McMahan and Olivia Chambers; siblings: Jim Woods, George Woods, Delores Hendrickson (Earl), and Helen Claxton; sister-in-law, Phyllis Jane Bright, along with many special nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the U. T. Hospice staff for their amazing care of Frances.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 9th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Memorial services will follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Pike and Rev. Lon Shockley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Tennessee Children's Hospital. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
