Private family services for Frances Burke Hicks, 88, of Alto will be held. Frances passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at her home in Alto. She was born November 8, 1936 in Palestine, Texas to Harold Eugene Burke and Mary Viola Bowman Burke. Frances has lived most of her life in Alto where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was the co-owner and operator of Leo Hicks Creosoting with her husband Leo since 1980. Frances was preceded in death by her husband Leo Hicks (2010) and sister Faye Eugene Burke Bradford. Frances is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Pam & Steve McClendon, Tasha and Keith Jackson, Kim & Kyle Hopper and Robin Hicks, grandchildren John McClendon, Jeremy Jackson (Robyn), Jaleea Downs (Brian), Jessica Moore (Jesse) and Justin Hopper (Jenna) and great grandchildren Lane Jackson (Sara), Jared Jackson, Makayla Dowling, Jackson Dowling, Jacob Dowling, Maddie Downs, Brooklyn Jackson, Levi Moore, Brilee Hudnall, Haylynn Downs, Nathan Moore, Case Downs, Cohen Jackson, Landon McClendon, Leo McClendon, Leo Hopper and Dillon Jackson. Pallbearers are John McClendon, Jeremy Jackson, Justin Hopper, Lane Jackson, Jared Jackson, Jackson Dowling and Jacob Dowling. Memorials may be given to the church youth group of your choice. Interment will be in the Lynches Chapel Cemetery near Alto.
