Visitation has been scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Dowdy-Marker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the First Assembly of God Church, Haskell, Oklahoma. Rev. Donald Hogue, Jr. will officiate.

Frances Viola (Cromer) Jay, known as Viola, was born on February 12th 1942 at 9:15 am to George Lilburn and Alma Violet (Smith) Cromer in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She met her heavenly father on February 23rd 2026 at 9:42 pm in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her sons and daughters by her side at the age 84.

She never wavered in her Christian faith or obedience to God even though she battled dementia through the last few years of her life.

Viola is proceeded in death by her parents, George and Alma Cromer, Brother George Leslie "Doc" Cromer, sister Karen Denise Blan and sister Patricia Lou Caughron.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters Darryl Wayne and Shalyn Jay of Haskell. Tracy Allen and Deana Kay Jay of Porter. Grandchildren: Travis and Brandi Jay of Coweta, Courtney and Keith Cade of Coweta, Cameron Jay of Broken Arrow, Dalton and Alyssa Rider of Haskell, Mason and Macy Rider of Hulbert and Julianna R. Jay of Haskell. Fifteen great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
