Frances LaVerne Jones, 95 of Louisville, died Friday May 16th, 2025.
She was preceded in death by parents Edward Clarence and Mary Elsie Strassell; her sister Beatrice Leslie; and her loving husband of 64 years Philip B Jones.
She is survived by her 6 children: Philip Jones, Thomas Jones (Nancy), Patricia Tucker (Keith), Eric Jones, Jeffrey Jones (Tama), Joel Jones (Carmen). She also leaves behind 9 cherished grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A dedicated homemaker, there was never a speck of dust found in her home. LaVerne had an open heart and an open door. She was a great cook and enjoyed hosting family for holidays and birthdays. She collected teacups, porcelain ladies, birds and glassware and called them her “pretties.” She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Visitation: Saturday May 24th, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow.
