Frances And Leonard Okonski

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Frances Beverly "Pat" Okonski and Leonard Gerald "Len" Okonski, who have now been reunited in Heaven after 75 remarkable years of marriage.
Frances entered eternal rest on May 26, 2025 at the age of 96. She was born March 27, 1929 in DuBois, Pennsylvania to Easton and Elizabeth LaBorde. Leonard entered eternal rest on October 28, 2025, also at the age of 96. He was born April 18, 1929 in DuBois, Pennsylvania to Zigmund and Anna Okonski.
Pat and Len's love story began in Columbia, South Carolina during the Korean War. Together, they built a beautiful life-first in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, where they raised their children; then in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina during retirement; and later in The Villages, Florida when sunshine and warmth called their names. After Pat's passing, Len moved to Waterford, Michigan to be closer to family.
They were devoted and loving parents to Michael (& Gail) Okonski, Deborah Okonski Raykovitz, and David (& Angele) Okonski. They were proud grandparents to Aaron Okonski, Trevor Okonski, Cassidy (& Philip) Benedict, and Katie Okonski, and ecstatic great grandparents to Beckham and Hadley Benedict.
Frances is reunited in Heaven with her parents and sister, Betty. Leonard is reunited with his parents and his siblings Edward (& Lelia) Okonski, Margaret (& Walter) Marusiak, and Mary Jo (& Jack) Brunswick. And together again, husband and wife rest in God's eternal peace.
Both Frances and Leonard will be laid to rest at Morningside Cemetery in DuBois, Pennsylvania.
A celebration of life will be held for them together at Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, Michigan, on Saturday November 29, 2025 at 10:30 AM.
A memorial service followed by burial will take place in DuBois, Pennsylvania in June 2026; further details will be announced at a later date.
