SMITH, RICHARD D. of Waterford; October 31, 2025; age 84; Loving husband of Pauline Cesaro Smith for 62 years; Beloved father of Lisa (David) Zangara, Deanna (Gerald) Baker, Richard Smith, Jr., and Joseph Smith; Son of the late Hilon and Viola Smith; Preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Powell, Beverly Brown, Hilon Smith, Jr. and Mel Smith; Cherished grandfather of Amanda (Keith), David, Daniel (Morgan), Marie, Mallorie, Shawn, Hanna (Marcus), R.J., Kaira and Kaeli; Great-grandfather of Kora, Mila and Ella; Also loved by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith retired as a Tool and Die Engineer with the Automotive Industry. He was a member of St. Perpetua Catholic Church, the Pontiac-Waterford Elks Lodge #810, and the Knights of Columbus. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Perpetua Catholic Church, 134 Airport Road, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Inurnment will follow the Mass at All Saints Cemetery, 4401 Nelsey Road, Waterford. Following the committal service, there will be a reception at Alex's Market, 4707 White Lake Road, Clarkston. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
