Frances "Fran" MacEachern, 71, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at her home in Nesbit, Mississippi. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on December 23rd of 1952. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2024, with a celebration of life service to follow at 5:00 p.m. All services will be held in the Hernando Funeral Home Chapel. Fran worked as a Waitress for Dales in Southaven for 20 plus years. She was kindhearted and remembered by many for being the nicest and most caring person to have ever met. She was simple, and did not have much in this life, but she would give you her last penny if she thought you needed it. She was a loving mother, and compassionate grandmother to her grandchildren who she valued greatly. She could not see them much, but they were her pride and joy, and she would talk about them with anyone who would listen. Her kids will tell you that she always had their back as their mother and cared for them very much. She also enjoyed talking on the phone with her sister, Liz, and listening to several books a week. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and cherished her. Fran is survived by her children, Jeanice Sawyer and Richie Kirkman both of Desoto County; her three grandchildren, Avery Sawyer, Gunner Kirkman, and Shelbie Kirkman; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Jernigan of Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Hilda Maupin, and her three brothers, Steven, Joe, and Hollis Maupin.
