Frances McClellen, 75, of Gothenburg, NE, passed away, May 14, 2025 at Gothenburg Health.
She was born, January 10, 1950 to George and Ruth (Buterbaugh) Mann.
Frances was born and raised in Gothenburg, Nebraska, attending Gothenburg High School graduating with the class of 1968. She married Thomas (Feddersen) on March 8, 1969, and devoted many years to raising their children, Amy, Andrew, and Anthony, managing a warm, nurturing home. She spent her life in Gothenburg where she raised her children and built a life rooted in love, creativity, and care. After their divorce, she found love again and married Tim McClellen on September 1, 1995.
Frances enjoyed working outside the home at Co-op Hardware Store and Ampride, where she formed lasting friendships and served her community. She was a true creative soul-always making something beautiful with her hands. Whether it was drawing, painting, sewing, or transforming everyday objects into art, her home was filled with warmth and handmade beauty.
Frances had a deep love for animals-everything from lizards and snakes to chickens and fainting goats. She never met an animal she didn't want to care for. Though not affiliated with a specific church, she had a profound personal faith in Jesus Christ. Her well-worn, marked-up Bible stands as a testament to the comfort and guidance her faith provided throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, Tim; daughter Amy Schwarz (fiancé Rob Mendoza) of Kearney, NE; sons Andrew (Casey) Feddersen and son William of Kearney, NE, and Anthony (Gina), children, Jackson, Avery, Reese Feddersen of Rochester, MI; stepdaughter Megan (Josh) Sitorius and their children, Lorelie and Chandler, of North Platte, NE; stepson Travis McClellen of Ogallala, NE; grandchildren Jesse (Autumn) Ambler and their children, Jed and Noa, of Gothenburg, NE; Abby (Kendall) Clark and their children, Karter and Kamryn of Pleasanton, NE; and brother Dale (Patti) Mann of Hastings, NE.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Mann; brothers Don, Bill, Bob, and Dave Mann; and sisters Adaline Schabrum and Annette Ostrom.
Frances will be remembered for her compassionate heart, artistic spirit, and unwavering faith.
Memorial Services will be held, 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 10th St, Gothenburg, NE with Pastor Robert Litzenberger officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery north of Gothenburg.
