Frances Margiotta Moffett, a cherished pillar of the Bogalusa, Zachary and Clinton communities for many years, peacefully entered the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the age of 83.
A woman of profound faith and gentle spirit, Frances was a devoted parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary. Her life was a testament to her devotion, characterized by her unwavering kindness and the quiet grace she extended to everyone she met. Whether through her involvement in her church or her presence in the lives of her neighbors, she left an indelible mark of love and compassion on her community.
She leaves behind a legacy of faith and family that will be forever treasured by those who had the honor of knowing her.
Frances is survived by three daughters, Terri M. Bonfiglio and her husband Angelo Bonfiglio of Waxhaw, NC; Sherri M. Engels and husband Randy Engels of Liberty, MS; Georgiana M. Walls and husband Allen J. Walls of Zachary; one son, Jimmy W. Moffett Jr. and his wife Jody P. Moffett of Central, LA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Tommy Margiotta and sister, Annie M. Blackburn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Wayne Moffett; and parents, Sam and Georgia Sances Margiotta; grandson-in-law, John Thompson, III; and nephew, Michael Sheridan.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the Rosary at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Zachary, LA on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 9:00 AM followed by the visitation from 9:15 AM until the Funeral Mass at 11:15 AM, conducted by Father Lamar Partin, Father Jason Palermo, and Father Matt Dunn. The graveside service and burial will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary LA at 1:00 PM.
