Frances Leona Williamson Moody, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Kathleen, Georgia, at the age of 89. She was surrounded by love, just as she lived her life-filled with warmth, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Born in Griffin, Georgia, to the late Alton and Ruby Williamson, Frances carried with her the values of love, dedication, and hard work. She devoted her career to serving others as a school nutritionist for the Houston County School Board, where she ensured countless children were cared for with a warm meal and a kind smile. Frances was happiest in the heart of her home, where she expressed her love through cooking, solving puzzle books, and making cherished memories with her family. She and her devoted husband of 72 years, Cecil L. Moody, shared a lifetime of love and partnership, creating a home filled with laughter, faith, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Mike Moody of Palm Bay, Florida; Keith Moody of Kathleen, Georgia; and Lee Moody of Kathleen, Georgia. Her greatest joy was her family, including her seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was also blessed with the compassionate care of her dear friend and caregiver, Debbie Ellison and Gentiva Hospice, whose kindness will always be remembered. A graveside service celebrating Frances's beautiful life will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins, Georgia. Janet Smith will officiate the service, honoring a life well-lived and a heart well-loved. With honor and care, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with her arrangements. Though Frances may no longer walk beside us, her love will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit will live on in the stories told, the traditions carried forward, and the love she so freely gave. Rest in peace, sweet Frances. Your love will forever be our guiding light.
