Frances O'Callaghan, 100, of Springfield passed away peacefully on November, 23, 2022.
Frances was the daughter of the late Simon and Anna Wadalavage (both Lithuanian immigrants) and was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. She graduated from J. W. Cooper High School and went on to attend business school in Philadelphia.
She will be remembered for her very generous donations of her hand made crafts to local churches for their holiday sales. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her pet poodle Pokey, gardening, and an occasional bus trip to Atlantic City.
Beloved wife of the late Michael O'Callaghan, a World War II veteran, to whom she was married to for over fifty years. She is survived by her niece Eileen Sylvester, numerous other nieces and nephews, across the country, and great nephew Anthony Sylvester, who would bring her her favorite hoagie or pizza when he visited. She is predeceased by her brothers Joseph Woodville, Adolph Wadalavage, and George Wadalavage; her sisters Anna Juck, Helen Zatavasky, and Natalie Lesniewski. She also leaves behind numerous close friends who she spent holidays and fun times with. Frances also had numerous friends - both staff and residents - at Little Flower Manor, who filled many of her years with smiles, warmth and love.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Monday November 28, 2022 9:30AM Little Flower Manor Chapel, 1201 Springfield Road, Darby, PA 19023 and to her Funeral Mass 10:00AM in the Chapel. Int. Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or planting a tree, the family requests that Contributions are made to Little Flower Manor.

I remember my Godmother fondly. She worked with my mother in the 1960s and was a wonderful friend to my family over the years. I will miss her. RIP Aunt Franny.
