Frances Perry Obituary
Frances Eileen Perry, 95, of Albany, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Eileen was born on January 9, 1929, in Athens, the daughter of the late William Edward and Lottie (Russ) Buck. She was the widow of the late Sherwood K. Perry.
Eileen spent 20 years with the Vinton County Board of Elections. She also helped her husband, Sherwood, when he was the Chairman of the Vinton County Democrat Party.
Eileen is survived by her son, Jeffrey Paige Perry; grandson, Reggie Alexander; great grandchildren, Dekon Alexander and Jayla Alexander; son-in-law, Michael Alexander; nieces, Debbie (Clarence) Watson and Lorrie (Keith) McGuire; several other nieces and nephews.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Christy Louise Alexander; brother, William Edward Kyle; sisters, Lola Louise Jones, Margaret Ann Ball, and Iona Virgene Watson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Harrison Starr and Rev. John Starr officiating. Interment will be in Bowen Cemetery, Vinton County. Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
